RECWEEK PROGRAM DIRECTORS

Picture

Benzi George
Overall Director

Benzi serves as the Interim Regional Director for InterVarsity’s Red River Region and is the overall Recweek Director this year, his 12th year on staff. Benzi is excited about the new season of thriving, sustainable ministry God is calling us to as a region and the new mission He has given us. We want to witness God multiply holistic disciples of Jesus who desire to reach the unreached, together and this starts with being “Kingdom Disciples,” our theme for RECWEEK this year. As Benzi reflects on one of his favorite RECWEEK memories, he shares “I was the only student from my InterVarsity chapter and university to attend RECWEEK as a student in 2007. I experienced three life changing things: a loving multi-ethnic community, freedom to be vulnerable, and deep intimacy with Jesus. I was so motivated by RECWEEK that I became an InterVarsity leader at my school and brought 8 students back with me to RECWEEK 2008. Every year after that we kept bringing more and more students. I LOVE RECWEEK!!!
I know you will too!”

Elizabeth Barrera
Plenary Director

Liz currently serves the Red River Region as an Associate Regional Director and has been on staff since 2007. She loves how RECWEEK brings college students across 4 states together for a week set aside to be with Jesus, be in community, and be filled up to be sent out as God’s people. She shares, “This year I’m excited to welcome anyone who is open or curious about Jesus but is currently not following Jesus. RECWEEK is a place you can explore who Jesus is, enjoy building new friendships, and consider your next steps in your faith journey. RECWEEK has been a place where many could explore and leave with greater idea of who Jesus is! I always leave RECWEEK with greater clarity, and personally, my love has grown for Jesus in places like this. Join us!”

RECWEEK TRACK DIRECTORS

Picture

Jacob Foor
Kingdom Life Track Director

Jacob is in his 14th year on staff and serves as the Area Director of Arkansas and the Regional Missions Coordinator. In the Kingdom Life Track, Jacob is looking forward to students experiencing the Kingdom of God in every aspect of their lives. He hopes students will not only trust in the eternal hope of Jesus, but also in the transformation, healing, and power he offers for their lives (and our world) today. His favorite memory of Recweek is when he came to faith and God completely transformed the direction of his life. His second favorite memory is the late-nights spent hanging out with friends after the semester was over.

Kristina Crosetto
MarK Track Director

Kristina is our regional coordinator of Greek ministry and this is her 21st year on staff! She shares “I love Mark Track because we get to see the real Jesus up close and personal. It is such a great place to get connected to Jesus in a powerful and deeper way and to experience all of the wonderful things of his kingdom. The main thing I always look forward to in Mark Track is all of the moments wshere students wake up to how much bigger Jesus is and that his freedom and healing is available now just as much as it was then.” One of Kristina’s favorite memories of a Mark camp was when her own son, Noah decided to respond during the call to faith and gave his life to Jesus when her husband, Beau was preaching. It felt like an incredible blessing to get to watch such a holy moment with their own kid in the midst of all the college students!

Some of his favorite Recweek memories are giving students an education on the basketball court during our basketball tournament! ;)
