Why College Ministry? Why InterVarsity?
We believe that if you can change the university, you can change the world. Students who are changed by Jesus, go on to be lifelong disciples. Ideas that are changed at the university have ripple effects through society. Leaders that are shaped in college have the potential to have multiplicative impact in every sphere and every culture. And, InterVarsity Staff appointed by God and with the help of the Spirit are the critical people that help bring about such changes. Would you consider losing your life for the sake of the gospel by serving as an InterVarsity Staff?
InterVarsity fellowships can be found on college and university campuses throughout the nation. Our vision is to see students and faculty transformed, campuses renewed, and world changers developed.
Our Undergraduate Ministries primarily focus on work with undergraduate students. However, working with faculty, administrators, and campus staff are within the scope of our ministry as well. If you have a graduate degree and would be interested in working with graduate students and faculty more closely, please consider positions listed with Graduate and Faculty Ministries.
InterVarsity Year is our first year staff program to develop you as a leader and meet the growing needs of our region. You will receive intensive training, learn more about yourself and serve the 1.5 million college students in Red River. This program will equip you with life skills as a foundation for staff or any future vocation.
Are you looking for satisfying, meaningful opportunities to serve? Do you have a servant’s heart that is committed to Christ? InterVarsity has volunteer opportunities in a cheerful and pleasant atmosphere where you can use your specific skills to advance our ministry as we continue to reach students on college and university campuses.
What Campus Staff Do

Communicate and model InterVarsity’s vision by creating a culture of prayerful dependence on God, guiding students and faculty in God’s mission through studying scripture and setting goals that expectantly anticipate what God wants to do on campus.
Gather, invite, and disciple diverse groups of students and faculty so that they not only follow Jesus as Savior and Lord, but also advance the mission on campus as participants and leaders, equipping them to hear the Word, respond actively, and interpret the experience.
Build momentum for the vision by aligning programs, structures and leadership teams around the goal, and mobilizing students and faculty to engage their networks with the gospel and start new missional communities.
Collaborate with a network of other local, area, regional, and national InterVarsity staff and volunteers, contributing to team projects, and utilizing national resources, tools and conferences.
Ministry Partner Development (MPD)
A part of being on mission with InterVarsity is developing a team to financially support your full salary and ministry budget. MPD is modeled in scripture and is a relational process that invites others to join what God is doing on campus. New staff receive training and coaching and often do MPD in community with others.
