Saturday Morning Prayer Guide

Make sure to introduce yourselves in case new people joined your family group. Share this brief prayer devotional with your family group before starting the day:

As we got out this morning to serve, let’s make sure we are reminded why we are serving our community and our city in the first place!

Read 1 Peter 4:10-11 - As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

We act through word, deed, and the power of the Holy Spirit, so that this will give honor to Christ and not for ourselves. He has done a good thing in our lives by bringing love and salvation to us, so we likewise should go and offer love to others in our community!

Read this prayer aloud:

Dear Father,

May this be a day of hope,
of expectation,
of relishing each moment
as a gift from you.

May this be a day of freedom,
of breaking free,
of loosening the chains that
still surround us.

May this be a day of peace,
of wholeness,
of knowing that our lives
are in your hands.

May this be a day of joy,
of blessing,
of living in your kingdom
as a child of God.

In all I do
and in all I say,
may my life
this day,
and all days,
the beauty of my Lord.
