I've been on staff with IV for eight years in TX and have worked specifically with reaching South Asian students with the gospel. It has been a joy to see students truly understand what it means to make Jesus the Lord of their life. I am now transitioning to an AAD role where I will get to develop and influence new staff and plant chapters at UT and Austin Community Colleges.
Jason Philipose is a campus minister with Texas Gospel Fellowship (TGF), the African-American student reaching chapter at the University of Texas at Austin. He also serves in the area of spiritual formation for the Central Texas area team. Jason was involved with InterVarsity as a student and after couple years with the mortgage industry and government, he came on staff. He is excited to see students transformed by the power of Christ and impact the world around them!
Tiffany serve and lead international students on campus in Bible studies, ESL conversation groups, and more at the University of Texas at Austin. She is so excited to see God's plans this year and what he has in store for this ministry. What starts here changes the world!
Marco was involved in AACM as a student, and he came on staff after graduating in May 2012. He is deeply passionate about leading students to respond to Jesus and looks forward to what God will continue to do on campus. Joseph is a full-time staff worker with Asian American Campus Ministry (AACM), the Asian-American student reaching chapter at the University of Texas at Austin. Joseph was involved with InterVarsity as a student and after graduating from UT in 2014, he came on staff. He is excited to see the Gospel advanced on the UT campus and in the world. His role is to develop student leaders, to disciple students, and to coordinate campus outreach events. He is also the Regional Communication Designer, as he uses media to further God's mission of seeing student transform in the Red River Region!
In my 4 and a half years at the University of Texas at Austin, InterVarsity helped me grow in my love for God and really pushed me to pursue my faith in ways I had never experienced before. Now as a recent graduate, I have felt and heard the calling to help push students at the UT campus to do the same and rise up to be the men and women God has called them to be. I want to see students and faculty transformed, the campus renewed and world changers developed.
Patrick is entering his fourth year on staff with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. He has a passion to see students transformed by the good news and teachings of Jesus Christ. Patrick wants to see students at Trinity University live out a commitment to Christ in their everyday - in their communities, dorm rooms, neighborhoods, and cities. He wants to see them seek the kingdom and change the world! He is excited to be leading communities of college students all over the city as they invite people to experience Jesus on their campus and seek to live out the gospel!
Chris and Laurie serve students and staff on campuses in Oklahoma & Arkansas. We have watched God grow the ministry from 1 OU student in 2008 to about 250 American and international students on multiple campuses in two states. It is a privilege to watch God develop students into life-long world changers for the Kingdom!
Elle is a full-time staff worker with Global InterVarsity, the international student ministry at the University of Oklahoma. Elle helped plant the InterVarsity chapter as an undergrad at OU, and fell in love with international students during her time there. She left Norman briefly to intern at UT Dallas for a year, and returned to start Global InterVarsity in 2013. As a campus staff, Elle develops student leaders, teaches evangelism and cross-cultural skills, and schemes on how best to welcome new international students to the USA.
Natalie is a volunteer staff worker with the South Asian InterVarsity (SAIV) chapter at the University of Oklahoma. She was involved in the Multiethnic InterVarsity chapter at OU as an undergraduate student, and has volunteered with SAIV during her time as a graduate student. Natalie's role is to disciple students and to develop student leaders.
Rebacca is a campus staff member with Baylor Asian Ministry InterVarsity (AMIV) and the team lead for the InterVarsity chapters at Baylor University. As a student at UT-Austin God showed her that the university is full of opportunity and one of the most strategic places to equip disciples of Christ. She joined staff in 2012 and is excited to see every corner of campus reached with the good news.
Peter is a full-time staff worker with Baylor Unite InterVarsity, the multi-ethnic chapter at the Baylor University in Waco. Peter was involved with InterVarsity at the University of New Mexico. After working a year in engineering, he moved Waco to join staff at BU. He is excited to see the Gospel advanced on the BU campus and in the world.
Hannah is a full-time staff worker with SMU InterVarsity. Hannah became involved with InterVarsity when it was first started back in 2011 and returned to SMU after graduating in 2013. She is excited to see students grow in love for each other, and for Jesus. Her role is to develop student leaders, to disciple students, to coordinate campus outreach events, and to build networks in the wider Dallas community.
Nicholas Gee will serve as a Ministry Intern with Asian Ministry InterVarsity (AMIV) at Baylor University. He recently graduated from Texas A&M University where he served as a student leader at his InterVarsity chapter! He eagerly desires to develop students in their walk with Jesus, and feels excited to invite students to embrace their cultural identity.
Annelise recently graduated from Trinity University majoring in Business Analytics and Urban Studies. She is a Ministry Intern with the InterVarsity chapter at Southern Methodist University. Her goal is to develop student leaders and disciple students to reach the campus and the nations.
After working as an engineer upon graduating from Texas A&M University in 2009, Chelir was later introduced to InterVarsity at their Urbana 2012 Mission Conference. Shortly after she accepted a campus staff position with InterVarsity, and in August 2013 she began planting the InterVarsity chapter at Texas Southern University. She has a huge heart for seeing students grow an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ that is rooted in the Word of God. Her role is to develop student leaders, disciple students, and coordinate campus meetings or outreaches.
Pete is a full-time staff worker who has been leading the International Christian Fellowship at UH since 2013. Pete has been married to Dalila since 2006. They served as English teachers in China from 2009 to 2012. It was there that Pete, a longtime journalist, realized his calling was to full-time Kingdom work. He and Dalila, who is a volunteer, consider it a privilege to be loving and serving international students as part of God’s work at UH.
Josh is the full-time staff worker with Asian American InterVarsity (AAIV) at Texas A&M University. Josh graduated from Baylor University in 2015 and was an active member and student leader in his time with Asian Ministry - InterVarsity. After graduating, he joined staff as a Ministry Intern at the University of Texas at Dallas with their Multi-Ethnic chapter. He is excited to begin his journey on Texas A&M's campus and to see Jesus transform the hearts of students that will go on to change the world. His role is to develop student leaders, to disciple students, and to coordinate campus outreach events alongside his leadership team.
Frank is beginning his first year on staff with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. Having recently graduated from UT Austin, Frank is excited to return to his hometown of San Antonio in order to advance God's kingdom and see the the lives of students transformed by the Gospel. He is committed to empowering students by the truth of God's Word, and longs to seem them live into the women and men God has designed them to be.
As a former graduate of University of North Texas, Chris at his alma mater serving as the Lead Campus Staff for InterVarsity in Denton (University of North Texas & Texas Woman's University). He is excited to see the Gospel advanced on the UNT & TWU campus and in the world. His role will include developing student leaders, discipling students, and implementing vision and structure to reach students of every ethnicity and culture at UNT & TWU.
