What are we invited to?
You are invited to enjoy a fun and relaxing retreat at Frontier Camp, halfway between Houston and Dallas, and nestled in the East Texas Piney Woods.
Take a break and come on a journey with friends old and new! Join other international students studying in Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas for a weekend of outdoor recreation, refreshing conversations, and learning about Jesus through a guest speaker and group discussions.
Register by Friday, 3 March 2017. Payments can be made online. A NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of $25 must be made for registration to be valid. Any cash/check payments should be made to your campus staff. Who's our speaker?
Lisa Espineli Chinn is a leadership coach, a cross-cultural trainer and a missions consultant. She served as National Director of International Student Ministry of InterVarsity/USA for 14 years.
Lisa shares from her rich and varied background as a former international graduate student at Wheaton College in Illinois (MA in Communications), a campus staff worker with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship-Philippines, Bible teacher, a pioneer of several ministries in the Philippines and the USA, a world traveler, an author, and speaker at various college events and conferences. She is on the Advisory Board of The Global Diaspora Network of the Lausanne Movement.
Lisa comes from a close-knit Filipino family of 7 children, She grew up valuing family, relationships, hard work, sacrifice, faith, and service. She is mother to 3 adult and married children.
On her free time, she enjoys investing in the lives of her 4 young grandchildren, Kai, Leila, Kade and Penelope.
What do we bring?
- Be sure to eat dinner before arriving at Frontier Camp on Friday evening; while we'll have some snacks, dinner will not be served on Friday night.
Bring a sleeping bag or sheets and blanket, pillow, towel, toiletries, and change of clothes for 2 days. (Include warm clothing, as it can still be chilly in early March!)
Comfortable shoes and bathroom slippers
Bring your Bible, a notebook/journal, and pen. (optional)
