Overview

Your graduation is coming up soon (God-willing)! You're either dreading or excited for the walk across that stage. Or it could be a mix of these feelings as you prepare for a new season of life. Despite your level of readiness, all of you will encounter big changes as you transition into the "real world."

This four-part series is intended for seniors about to graduate in either May or December of this current year. Its core vision is to see equipped seniors pursue a life of faithfulness after graduation while providing practical steps and resources for you upon entering this passage of life.

Session 1 - Are you Ready?

BAM! You've graduated. Now what? It feels like you've just landed into an unknown land. What does it look like to embrace change? What does it look like to make God-honoring decisions - Where do you live? What church should you go to? Should you go to this happy hour? How should you act towards your boss? So many questions.

Date: Saturday, February 25th

Time: 5:30-7:30pm - Arrive at 5:15

Session 2 - Relationships

Most likely, you won't be living one door down from your closest friend after graduating. So what do your relationships look like? As you look for a church, you'll be interacting with people that are much older than you. What do these relationships look like? What are you looking for when you enter new church communities?

Date: Saturday, March 25th
Location: TBA
Time: 5:30-7:30pm - Arrive at 5:15

Session 3 - Family

After experiencing college, we've become changed people and sometimes we need to adjust back into our family cultures not as a student but as an adult. And when we're adults... we're even thinking about our future families, if you know what we mean.

Date: Saturday, April 8th
Location: TBA
Time: 5:30-7:30pm - Arrive at 5:15

Session 4 - Stewardship

From receiving allowances from parents or gettin' paid less than $10/hour to having a full-time job with five to six-figure salaries... From X amount of studying, tests, classes, and extracurriculars to a 9-to-5 job or something more flexible... Wait, what kind of job am I looking for? Do I say yes to the first thing I can get?
In this very resourceful and practical session, you'll learn what it looks like to glorify God's kingdom with the gifts and resources He's given you.

Date: Saturday, April 29th
Location: TBA
Time: 5:30-7:30pm - Arrive at 5:15

What other graduates have said about DAC:

"The monthly mentorship series was such a blessing my last year of college. A lot is addressed throughout the series and it helped me start thinking about what life after college is truly like. Topics like friendship dynamics after college, COMMUNITY, FINANCES, and even marriage were brought up and have really given me a greater perspective of what those all look like after college. Post-college life is so different. I feel like we were all were sheltered from REAL LIFE. This series helped me plan for what was to come and has been vital in prepping me from entering into the “real world.”"
